Osseointegration Group Going Global
Просмотров 119Месяц назад
Over the last 10 years, we’ve been working hard to provide support, information and care excellence to people living with limb loss in Australia. But, many of the people who really need us, don’t live in Australia, and many don’t have the option to visit us in Sydney. In recognition of this international need, and our increasingly global outlook, the Osseointegration Group of Australia has rebr...

I hope I heal that fast I’m on day 6
No way this was 9 days I’m 30 and 18 days in can’t walk really with my crutches
Thank you very much
By 4 weeks I can now kind of walk. But only for 5 minutes in the AM and not by midday. It doesn’t help that I injured both ankles.
Amazing work professor
I really appreciate your efforts, Dr. Munjed, for giving the patients financially peace of mind especially in this situation that living costs are gone up. Thanks to you and your team 🙏🙏
Big thanks to Munjed for doing the out of pocket surgery!
I was so happy when I didn't have any out of pocket expenses, I still got over a thousand dollars worth of blood tests to pay. After paying my private health said I shouldn't of paid them, they were ment to bill private health directly. I too have been waiting 5 months for an NDIS limb, so glad I had a loan one!
There are many waiting for NDIS, many waiting for proper quality prosthetics . Australian govt needs to do more. many are missing hands and feet / legs ! prayers for the people waiting.
this is not 4 weeks...
ما شاء الله عليك يا وحش , رائع يا دكتور
There r many who can't afford prosthetics, and NDIS in Australia may not help either !! Keep up the good work Doctor.
No way
Where the scar?
Wow. Amazing and also scary to see nerves just being cut
This is only fibula fracture
Hello - please can u let me know which clinic we contact, if we get NDIS funding, I'd like to get a good functional prosthetic for him; he is an amputee .. he needs a replacement for his right hand Is there a prosthetic clinic which is efficient and will help us ??
I forgot to mention; we live in s-w Sydney, NSW, Australia. Ty Mr Al Muderis. 💙💛🙏

5 weeks and walking?! I heard 7 weeks. Most don’t even start partial weight bearing until 6 weeks. Something is off here lol
In few weeks 🤩 But What Kindle of fixation ?
how is this possible after 4 weeks
Yes it is I could walk perfectly normal after 4 weeks
@@reeeeeeeman8792how long you take to bend 100% ?
What navigation system are you using doctor?
2 weeks my ass
Such a kind surgeon, i am so lucky to be 1 of his patients
It looks infected! Oh my God
Is it peroneus longus graft
Woooow! Can you Tell me: is it normal to Bend with a lot of pain / pressure in the knee After 2 Weeks? Bending til 50 degrees?! Thank you !
I don’t think this will age well. High risk of infection in an open wound, and elderly skin is extremely fragile.
is it possible for an above knee amputee?
Thương quá nặng cụt 2 chân
I doubt i would be alive today without my favourite surgeon
Brother lost his legs yesterday glad to see there is something like this in the world also how much was it if I may ask
Hai Doc,i have a question..for Femoral Jig Placement, what is the length from the chondyle?..because i saw on the Femoral Jig got numbers for measurement.
Patience patience . Only assess at 8 weeks. Had orif for type 2 schatzker fracture. Time, time and more time but you have a high probability of a full recovery
Do you believe that the size mismatch between nerves results in axonal escape ? HAve you evolved your technique since this video was made in 2022 ?

So she agreed to never have use of her leg again and wear an AFO and deal with the atrophy of the leg?
Can PT fix this tracking issue? Are there any RUclips rehab vidoes you'd recommend? Thx
I have the same problem, strengthening the muscles, glutes and quads, will definitely improve your knees and will reduce the chance of injuring it, I did road cycling and weight lifting (squats and deadlifts) and now my knees feel stronger and more stable and haven't had any issues since.
@@abrazier8824 I've been lifting for a year and unfortunately I still have this. Will occasionally get sharp pains in my knees too when I try to stand up. It's a little bit less then it used to be but still not ideal. Hoping a couple more years of lifting will sort this out.
@@SirEpsilonn Did the pain occur later, as a result of a trauma?
@@SirEpsilonnJust got surgery for fixing this. wrecks the bottom of your kneecap
That is an infection risk, I literally see bone
Thank you, Emily, for perfectly describing how this procedure gave you back your life. I can truly say that, although I'm not as young and athletic as you are, I COMPLETELY understand what you are talking about. I underwent this procedure in 2 parts (Dec. 2021/Feb. 2022). I did not have CRPS but suffered from osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis for over 20 years. After 7 operations, including multiple failed total knee replacements, I ended up with an extremely painful and deformed left knee which auto-fused. I was dragging around a heavy, unbendable, useless tree trunk which prevented me from doing simple things like walking, sitting at a table or traveling in a car. I had also developed vascular issues which kept the whole leg swollen. I was in so much pain that I begged to have the leg taken off when I was told that there was nothing else that could be done. Thank God for the Hospital for Special Surgery here in New York City and for the talents of Dr. Taylor Reif! He was the first person to offer me hope when he suggested that I could be a good candidate for osseointegration. I'm almost 2 years in and I still have to work on balance and a couple other things but to be able to walk, PAIN-FREE for the first time in over 20 years, is so much more than I can ever thank Dr. Reif and HSS for! I feel reborn. The first time that I was able to visit a restaurant and sit with my friends at the table without trying to find a place for my painful tree trunk leg so that I wouldn't trip the serve staff, I cried. A simple thing but it meant so much to me. Thank you Dr. Reif and all of the pioneers in this field for giving me, Emily and so many others, our lives back.

Is full weight bearing allowed in 6 weeks post surgery in TPF??
Thank you Prof Munjed as you promised My leg will improve and it has improved much better, so thank you so much . All my life I use two crutches and now I use one and hopefully will not any in near future, love you Munjed . Alaa
